was born in Cincinnati
where she received a B.A. in English Literature and Writing. She traveled to England
to study bookbinding and since receiving her diploma in Fine Binding and
Conservation over twenty years ago, has worked and taught both in the UK and in the USA.
Gabrielle Fox is a leading expert and
artisan in the binding, conservation and restoration of fine books. Her career has included training and
teaching in many distinguished institutions in the United
States and Great Britain and her work has
earned many awards and commendations.
She currently works from her studio in Cincinnati, Ohio
and travels frequently to teach intensive workshops and consult and care for
both institutional and private book collections.
